Problem Solving Sheet? Joking aside I find this amusing as it we’ve all been here and done it.
So, how do you solve problems, do you work through them one piece at a time or do you find yourself getting distracted along the way?
These days I’m pretty good at looking at the bigger picture and breaking things down into very small elements, that I then tackle individually. You can do this by categorising problems into chunks. You can use a whiteboard and put the all the elements into main categories and then break each category down into sub-sections. Sticky notes can even work quite well as you can shift the small component around until it fits in its best home.
I think much of this problem solving is down to basic project management, working through and finishing one small step at a time, which then allows us to move on and complete, or solve the next problem.
